Synopsis:
After
leaving his house without his friend and protector, Colin, Stephen is viciously
ambushed by a gang of five older teenagers who are bullies from his school, who
take it upon themselves to try and turn Stephen against his family and friends,
particularly Colin. The leader of the gang of the group of bullies, Trent, is a
heavy influence on the way Stephen thinks and acts, due to Trent’s s disliking
of Colin.
Stephen’s
attitude eventually changes over a period of time, and he begins to defy his
teachers, truant his lessons, and stay away out late at night with this new
gang he has slowly become part of. It comes to the point where Colin must now
find Trent, and confront him face to face. Colin’s attempts to find him are
thwarted by Trent’s cousin, Austin, and his own gang. Colin is heavily beaten,
and whilst recovering in hospital, is visited by one of Austin’s gang members
and threatens Colin with his life if he continues to thwart Trent’s actions.
This new gang has now become an even bigger problem for Colin’s attempts to
help Stephen.
After two
weeks, in which Colin leaves hospital, after seeking advice from Trent’s
brother, Ryan, who he is on good terms with, they both secretly attend a gang
confrontation between Trent’s gang and Austin’s gang, involving the exchange of
the drug cocaine. After Stephen is ordered by Trent to give it to Austin, Colin
and Ryan burst onto the scene, and in a heated exchange of words and physical
violence, Ryan is stabbed by Austin. When Trent realises who has stabbed his
brother, both gangs turn on each other, and an immense feud begins, allowing
Colin to escape with Stephen. After Colin has returned Stephen home, he himself
finds that he was stabbed during the clash of the gangs, and he himself is
again rushed to hospital. Due to the severity of injuries he sustained from the
attack by Austin and his gang earlier on, Colin dies, with Stephen at his
bedside in the hospital, leaving Stephen’s conscious reeling and mulling over the
consequences of the actions and choices he took.
